Hello, sweet friend.

I'm Hailey. Iโ€™m a graphic designer, photographer, and herbalist based in the mountains of Missoula, Montana.

My early years were spent traipsing about the fjords of Norway and Alaska, where my siblings and I whiled away the the long dark winters by crafting, creating things by hand and playing make-believe in the forest. In 2007, I moved to Montana and fell deeply in love with the west.

Today, my husband and I are slowly restoring our lovely (if somewhat drafty) century-old home, where you can usually find us puttering around the woodshop, the garden, or the chicken coop. In addition to graphic design, I also teach branding and animation classes at the University of Montana and am happily hodge-podging together an urban homestead in our back yard.

This blog is a rambling tribute to slow living and all things seasonal and handmade and lovely and wild.

Welcome to the Lovely Wild. I'm so glad you're here.
